An ERP, safely plugged into AI
The client's team asks AI questions about live business data — every call authorized as that specific user, nothing more.
The challenge
Everyone wants to ask AI questions about their business data. But handing a language model raw database access is a governance nightmare: who is the AI acting as, what can it see, and what happens when it's wrong about money?
The solution
We built a remote MCP server over the client's ERP. Each team member signs in with their own account — OAuth 2.1 with two-factor authentication — and every AI tool call runs under that user's exact permissions. The AI sees deals, operations and payment summaries through curated tools, not raw tables.
On top of it runs an AI pricing strategist: the model analyzes occupancy and demand data and tunes pricing bands — first in shadow mode, then live — while the price on any actual quotation remains fully deterministic.
Why it matters
The AI is never a superuser
No shared service account. Every query is authorized as a real person, with their role and their limits.
Tools, not tables
The AI works through purpose-built summary tools — compact, auditable, and safe by construction.
AI advises, the system decides
The pricing loop lets AI shape strategy while quote-time math stays deterministic — governable autonomy in practice.
The results
A 30-person marketing and engineering team now self-serves analytics and pricing insight by talking to AI — with full auditability, per-user permissions, and zero direct database exposure.
